Envision Tomorrow, Today
We Start With Your Life and Plan Your Money Around It
You only get one life. It's up to you to make the most of it and to live the best life you can. Your best life starts with a vision for what you want to accomplish and what you're able to strive to achieve with the resources you have. Our Envision Process is designed to help you identify and prioritize your goals. This unique process creates an effective, easily followed roadmap with personalized milestones to help you discover whether you have the financial resources to live your life the way you want.
Most likely, you have specific goals in mind. The Envision process begins with a conversation between you and your Financial Advisor that's designed to help you and your spouse or partner identify, clarify and prioritize your financial goals. You and your financial advisor will use this discussion to define your "ideal" scenario (how your perfect retirement, for example, would look) and "acceptable" scenario (what retirement lifestyle would satisfy you). Although it might be nice to live your ideal retirement, it will probably be necessary for your plan to incorporate elements from your acceptable scenario.
Once your goals are prioritized, we help you take a look at the whole picture. We calculate the thousands of different financial scenarios that could happen to your investments to determine the level of confidence you may have in your ability to meet your goals. The likelihood of meeting your goals is expressed as a plan result. We recommend a success likelihood range between 75 and 90. A plan result below 75 would indicate a low confidence level in you being able to achieve all of your goals and dreams. However a plan result of over 90 would indicate you may be taking more risk than necessary or sacrificing more than is needed.
Envision tracks how well your investments are helping you work toward your goals by providing a personalized benchmark called the "dot." At any point in time, you can call us up to see where your dot is. In fact, you can track it online as well as on your quarterly statements. Not only does this help provide peace of mind, it also simplifies the answer to "How am I doing?"
When your dot moves out of the target zone or your financial situation changes, we'll help you review and adjust your prioritized goals. This may involve including additional goals, reprioritizing your current goals and making sure that you are taking full advantage of your finances.
IMPORTANT:
The projections or other information generated by Envision regarding the likelihood of various investment outcomes are hypothetical in nature, do not reflect actual investment results and are not guarantees of future results. Results may vary with each use and over time.
ENVISION METHODOLOGY ASSUMPTIONS:
Based on accepted statistical methods, Envision uses a simulation model to test your Ideal, Acceptable and Recommended Investment Plans. The simulation model uses assumptions about inflation, financial market returns and the relationships among these variables. These assumptions were derived from analysis of historical data. Using Monte Carlo simulation Envision simulates 1,000 different potential outcomes over a lifetime of investing varying historical risk, return , and correlation amongst the assets. Some of these scenarios will assume strong financial market returns, similar to the best periods of history for investors. Others will be similar to the worst periods in investing history. Most scenarios will fall somewhere in between. Elements of this report's presentations and simulation results are under license from Financeware, Inc. © 2001-2010 Finaceware, Inc.
